Ingredients:

For the Red Prawn Lollipop:

·Open the packaging and thaw 200g of red prawn balls for 15 minutes
·Olive oil spray (for air frying or shallow frying)
 

For the Sweet and Sour Sauce:

·1/4 cup ketchup
·2 tbsp rice vinegar (or white vinegar)
·2 tbsp sugar
·1 tbsp soy sauce
·1/4 cup water
·1 tsp cornstarch (for thickening)
·1/4 cup pineapple chunks (optional, for extra flavor)

 

·1 bell pepper, sliced (optional for serving)

 

Cooking the Red Prawn Lollipop:

 

1. Preheat the Air Fryer:
oPreheat the air fryer to 180°C (350°F) for about 3 minutes.
2. Air-fry the Red Prawn Lollipop:
oLightly spray the air fryer basket with olive oil.
oPlace the red prawn balls in the basket in a single layer, making sure not to overcrowd them.
oLightly spray the red prawn balls with olive oil as well.
oAir-fry at 180°C (350°F) for 10-12 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through, until the prawn balls are golden and cooked through.
 

Preparing the Sweet and Sour Sauce:

 

1. Mix the Sauce Ingredients:
oIn a small bowl, mix the ketchup, rice vinegar, sugar, soy sauce, water, and cornstarch until well combined.
2. Cook the Sauce:
oIn a small saucepan over medium heat, bring the sauce mixture to a simmer, stirring frequently.
oAdd the pineapple chunks and bell pepper slices (if using).
oCook for 3-4 minutes, until the sauce thickens and the vegetables are slightly tender.
oRemove from heat and set aside.

Assemble and Serve:

 

1. Combine Prawn Balls and Sauce:
oOnce the prawn balls are air-fried, you can either toss them in the sweet and sour sauce or serve the sauce on the side for dipping.
2. Garnish and Serve:
oGarnish with fresh green onions or sesame seeds, if desired.
oServe hot with rice or as an appetizer.
